A McDonald’s drive-thru on the edge of Market Harborough has reopened today (Wednesday).
The takeaway on Melton Road by the busy A6 roundabout will be serving drive-through customers after being shut for about 10 weeks during the coronavirus lockdown.

Hide AdThe popular outlet is one of 15 McDonald’s drive-thrus in Leicestershire and 497 all over the UK being reopened today.
It was throwing its doors open at 11am and will be open until 10pm tonight.
The US fast food giant is calling on customers to be patient as it will take longer to serve them after queues have quickly built up at restaurants elsewhere in Britain.
A McDonald’s spokeswoman said: “We are glad to be back but it will look a little different and may take a little longer, so please bear with us.”

Hide Ad- They have fewer workers in their kitchens to enable staff to social distance and work safely
- They will have a limited menu (no breakfast or Shakes for now) and will open for reduced hours (11am-10pm)
- They encourage customers to use contactless payment methods and spend a maximum £25
- Customers can browse the menu, order and pay ahead using the My McDonald’s App - they’ll start preparing your order when you’re near the restaurant.
