Harborough’s indoor market is in the running to carry off a leading industry accolade

Market Harborough’s historic indoor market is in the running to carry off a leading industry accolade.

Harborough Market, which can trace its roots back over 800 years, has been put forward for a coveted Niche Business Award.

“Any acknowledgment is testimony to our wonderful traders and hard-working Harborough District Counil staff who have continued to serve the local community through this past difficult year,” said the market, based in the town centre.

Celebrating the best of Leicestershire, the Niche Business Awards were set up in 2014 “from the belief that success breeds success”.

​Over 2,000 nominations have been made over the seven years since.

They have included “some of the hardest-working and successful individuals, businesses and charities Leicestershire has to offer”.
