Market manager Sairah Butt said: “We would like say a huge thank you to everyone who has continued to support us through this very challenging time.

“However, as per Government Guidelines, our General Hall will be closed from 5 November until 2 December.”

She said their Food Hall will remain open with the addition of Mrs J’s Fresh Eggs, Rural Trading Ltd and Jams’N’Jars.

They are temporarily moving across from the main hall.

“Sue Reeve will also join the Food Hall each Tuesday during lockdown with her wonderful cakes.

“You can be assured that we will continue with all of our safety measures; 2m social distancing, controlled admittance, and a one-way system,” said Sairah.

“We are open as per normal on Tuesday and Wednesday this week and ask that you call in and support our traders - especially those that have no choice but to close for a month.

“Buy your Christmas presents, treat yourself to lunch - your support has never been more needed.

“We will update you each day with who is trading and will showcase our non-essential goods’ traders over the course of the month.

“Thank you for your support - as always, it means everything.”
