Fading Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steel finds himself in Stratford, a sleepy village in Suffolk.

Steel expects to act alongside such big names as Kenneth Branagh and Dame Judi Dench.

But instead he gets a bunch of amateurs desperate to save their rustic theatre from developers.

Jefferson’s monstrous ego, vanity and insecurities are tested to destruction by these am-dram thespians and his acting world implodes.

He discovers a few home truths about himself – along with his inner Lear!

Auditions are being held at 7.30pm on Monday February 3 in the Harlequin Room and at 7.30pm on Wednesday February 12 in the theatre studio/lounge.

The show will be performed at the theatre from May 11-16.
