A spectacular dance music event set to go ahead in the Harborough district next month has been cancelled for the second year running.
The four-day Noisily festival was due to be held in woodlands at Noseley Hall, near Goadby, between Thursday July 8 and Monday July 12.
But it’s now had to be called off again after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Monday that certain Covid-19 restrictions would stay in place until at least Monday July 19.
“Dearest Noisily family, it is with heavy heavy hearts that we write this message.
“Today’s announcement was the one that we dreaded – a delay to the release from Covid restrictions,” said the show’s organisers.
“The woods and fields in which Noisily takes place are a part of a working farm, meaning that there is no scope to delay until later in the summer, which means that Noisily 2021 cannot go ahead.”
Organisers say all tickets will be automatically rolled over to the 2022 event, which is poised to take place from July 7 to 10, 2022.
