Here is everything you need to know about the Christmas Fayre in Market Harborough

An all-action night is being lined up to celebrate the Christmas Fayre in Market Harborough.

Famous as Late Night Shopping until it was rebranded in 2014, the annual spectacular has been wowing families for over 30 years.

The three-and-a-half-hour extravaganza draws huge crowds into Harborough town centre.

This year it will be rocking the town from 5.30pm-9pm on Friday December 6.

The much-anticipated funfest is run totally by a committed team of volunteers and receives no money from Harborough council.

Two stages will be right at the heart of the Christmas Fayre next month.

There will be a youth performance stage outside the Angel Hotel on the High Street.

Music and dancing will start at 5:30pm.

Spectators will be able to watch and admire the Core Dance Company, Stagecoach Performing Arts, MH Youth theatre and Rigby String Quartet as well as others.

The second stage will be on The Square.

AnneMarie Marlow, Chris Cave, The Carp Family and the GBRT sax choir will be just some of the artists helping to keep shoppers warm on a cold wintry night.

Starry-eyed children will be able to meet Mrs Claus and her elves at the Winter Wonderland on The Square.

They can write their letters to Santa, get a gift from the elves and play in the falling snow.

Food stalls and bars will also make The Square just the place to head to.

On Manor Walk youngsters can meet Anna & Elsa from Walt Disney classic Frozen and join in the Frozen trail.

In Harborough’s historic Indoor Market Spiderman and Minnie & Mickey Mouse will be strutting their stuff while you can enjoy music from the Frutones.

Mums, dads and kids will all love meeting a real reindeer outside High Street estate agent’s Andrew Granger.

And just to add to the amazing yuletide street atmosphere and excitement stilt walkers and bubbleologists will be making it an extra-special night.
