A star Desborough DJ is dramatically pumping up the volume as he releases his first single – and he’s set to take on the big players.

Alfie Cridland, 23, is aiming for seventh heaven after cutting ‘Last day in Paradise’ with Paul Kay to confront Lady Gaga, Drake and Harry Styles at the top of the UK charts.

The record is being released by Perfect Havoc, the fast-rising label behind Top 10 hits ‘Sorry’ and ‘Lonely’.

‘Last Day in Paradise’ is described as a thumping Friday Night Party Anthem to get delirious fans in the mood for a belting weekend.

Alfie started to make a name for himself after winning Nathan Dawes’ DJ competition in 2017.

He went on to support Nathan at the 02 in Birmingham.

The music-mad Desborough man’s been resident DJ at both the VVIP Yacht Party and the Plus Club on the Greek island of Zante aka Zykanthos since 2018.

As well as achieving over 100,000 views across all platforms with his ‘mashup’ videos online, Alfie continues to showcase his talent in nightclubs all over the UK.

He met Paul two years ago during the summer season in Zante.

The twin dynamos live 350 miles apart but have spent almost every weekend together for six months DJ’ing at the country’s top clubs.

Alfie and Paul have also managed to squeeze in countless hours of studio time to create ‘Last Day in Paradise’.

And with brilliant iTune presales already recorded, it’s already being touted to be the European summer club smash, feelgood song of the year.
