Audience at theatre take a trip to Arthur's crazy world

There will be plenty of tall tales served up at Harborough Theatre this weekend with '˜An Audience With' style show.

The operatic and progressive artist extraordinaire Arthur Brown is taking a break from The Crazy World of Arthur Brown which he brings to the area on Saturday as part of a tour.

He will be telling the audience of some of the amazing stories that have happened throughout the life.

The God of Hell Fire will tell such stories as how the band torched the French Mafia’s club in Spain and what happened when Jimi Hendrix’s girlfriend arrived home after a night with the God of Hell Fire.

These are just a sample of some of the anecdotes among a plethora of other amazing but true tales, from a career spanning 45 years.

He will talk about his 1968 number 1 hit single Fire and headlining the first Glastonbury in 1971; through being covered by the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, The Who and The Prodigy.

Arthur is cited as a major influence by the likes of Peter Gabriel, Bruce Dickenson and Alice Cooper; to being awarded “Showman of The Year” by Classic Rock Magazine up to his latest album release “Zim Zam Zim....

A spokesman for the organisers said: “This is a piece of sheer performance theatre, a form of which Arthur Brown was one of the true pioneers.

This multimedia presentation of his life, times and travels includes solo acoustic material, dance, shadow puppetry, projection and animation.”

Arthur will be appearing on stage with just his co-traveller Angel Fallon who is also well known to fans as his extravagant costumed dancer, she will sing, dance and help narrate the whole story, a story based true events from the past & future.
