Flyers secure victory with overtime flurry

The first quarter was evenly matched, Flyers taking a one-point lead into the second quarter, where the teams would trade baskets, with Tom Marchesi adding eight second quarter points on his returning from a broken hand.

Down one point to start the third quarter, Flyers had a strong period with Charlie Kettle connected on two consecutive three-pointers to start the quarter, and Benji Henry scoring 10 straight points.

Despite leading by six points with two minutes to go, Flyers allowed Trueborns some easy baskets to level, sending the game into overtime.

Having outscored Harborough 21-13 in the fourth quarter, Leicester were unable to sustain their scoring in the extra period and Flyers made some key plays in the final minutes to seal the overtime victory.
