Lutterworth Town are looking to build upon Saturday's draw at Deeping Rangers with victory over struggling Pinchbeck United.

The Swifts’ winless run may now stand at six matches, but Dixon saw plenty of positives from the weekend’s draw.

“It was a much-improved performance,” he added.

“I thought we were good value for the draw. Deeping are a top-six team, so to draw away from home is a good result.

“We certainly played better than we have been doing on Saturday, the sort of performance we know we can produce.”

Jamie Cooper and Marshal Keenan netted for Town, with an own goal adding to their tally.

Last night’s scheduled fixture against Leicester Nirvana was postponed.

Lutterworth will now turn their attentions to Saturday, when basement boys Pinchbeck United visit Kong Park.

The Knights have picked up just six points so far this campaign, suffering 19 defeats from their past 20 games.

Dixon, however, will not underestimate his opponents.

“I said to the lads on Saturday that we’ve performed well against the top six this season and it’s the games against the teams down the bottom that have let us down.

“We’ll try to replicate our performance against Deeping (this weekend).

“I’ve got a lot of respect for Ian Dunn as a manager. He always organises his side well, even if their league position isn’t great this year.

“Nine of our last 15 league games are at home and it’s really important to make the most of that.”
