Harborough District Council is seeking public views on a new Local Plan, which will set out planning policies in the district for the period to 2031.
The Local Plan is important when making decisions on planning applications, to make sure new developments meets the council’s priorities.
The Local Plan Options consultation is taking place between September 18 and October 30, 2015.
The public can make comments via the council’s website at www.harborough.gov.uk/consultation during the consultation period.
The council is also running a series of drop-in ‘surgeries’ across the district. where maps and more information will be available, as well as staff to answer questions.
No need to book an appointment; just drop in to find out more about the options consultation.
The surgeries all runing from 12noon to 7pm are:
Wednesday, September 30 - Council Chamber, The Symington Building, Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough.
Thursday, October 1 - Kibworth Cricket Club, Fleckney Road, Kibworth,
Wednesday October 7 – Wycliffe Rooms, George Street, Lutterworth.
Wednesday, October 14 – Scraptoft Village Hall, Scraptoft Rise, Scraptoft.
Printed copies of the options consultation document can also be viewed at all the public libraries in the district inlcuding mobile libraries 3 and 4; Lutterworth Town Council offices in Coventry Road, Lutterworth; Broughton Astley Parish Council offices in the village hall, Station Road, Broughton Astley; and at Customer Services at The Symington Building, Market Harborough.
In addition, printed copies of all the background evidence documents will be available to view at Customer Services, The Symington Building and at Lutterworth Town Council Offices.
