Views are being sought on a plan which will set out the development of the Harborough district over the next 15 years.
Harborough District Council says the Local Plan will be consulted whenever decisions are taken to make sure development meet’s the authority’s strategic priorities.
A spokesman said: “The council is seeking the views of residents and businesses on these options to help shape the draft Local Plan.
“The Local Plan Options consultation began on September 18 and will run until October 30.”
People are able to make comments via the council’s website at www.harborough.gov.uk/consultation during the consultation period.
The spokesman added: “The council also is running a series of drop-in ‘surgeries’ across the district.
“There is no need to book an appointment; just drop in to find out more about the consultation.
“There will be displays of maps and information, and staff will be on-hand to help answer your questions about either the consultation or how to respond.”
The surgeries will all run from midday to 7pm.
They will run at the following locations. Wednesday, September 30 at the Council Chamber, The Symington Building, Harborough. Thursday, October 1, at Kibworth Cricket Club. Wednesday, October 7, at the Wycliffe Rooms, George Street, Lutterworth. Wednesday, October 14, at Scraptoft Village Hall.
The council spokesman said: “Printed copies of the Options consultation document can also be viewed at all the public libraries in the district, the Lutterworth Town Council offices in Coventry Road, Broughton Astley Parish Council offices, Great Glen Parish Council offices and at Customer Services at The Symington Building, Market Harborough.”
