A free seminar on workplace pensions with Harborough’s MP Sir Edward Garnier is being held at Harborough Innovation Centre tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.
Is is being arranged by Harborough Council with barrister Sir Edward and experts from Harborough firm the Ink Group explaining the main points of pension auto enrolment legislation and how people can prepare for the new legal duties.
Over the next three years, all UK employers will need to consider its implications.
The law is changing and all employers will be legally required to automatically enrol certain staff into a pension and make contributions. Staff will also have to be told about the scheme they have been put in, and allow other staff to join if they request to do so.
It runs from 2pm to 4pm.
To book a place, call the council’s business support manager Lee Byrne on 01858 821055 or email l.bryne@ harborough.gov.uk.
