Police are appealing for witnesses after a two-car crash in the Harborough district on Tuesday.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision on the B6047 Melton Road at the hamlet of Three Gates, near Billesdon.

The collision occurred at about 7.25am and involved a grey Vauxhall Insignia and a green Rover 200.

The female driver of the Rover suffered serious injuries and was taken to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire in Walsgrave while the male driver of the Vauxhall Insignia had minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

Witnesses to the crash, those who saw either vehicle beforehand or anyone who any information about the incident is being urged to contact PC 1375 Chris Wood.

Call the police 101 number, follow the instructions to leave a message and when prompted, key in the officer’s identification number 1375.

The crime number reference to the crash is LEP-240315-0088.
