Wildlife spotters are being invited to Foxton Locks next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, January 30 and 31, to take part in the Big Foxton Wildlife Watch.
The event is open to people of any age.
Derek Harris, from the Foxton Inclined Plane Trust, said: “Come along to Foxton Locks on either of the two days – and bring your family and friends with you, the more, the merrier.
“All ages are welcome from the very young to the more mature.
“All you need to do is take a pleasant walk around the locks and keep your eyes peeled at the same time.
“Make a note of all the wildlife you see – the flora and the fauna that abound around the locks and in the close vicinity.
“Then stop by the BoilerHouse on your way home and report what you have seen.”
The results of the Big Foxton Wildlife Watch will form the basis of the BoilerHouse display for next summer called Waterway Wildlife.

The locks’ museum reopened earlier this month.
