'Keep your bins out - we will try to get to you' say binmen as they carry on working through the snow in Harborough

People in Harborough are being asked to put out their bins in the snow as usual if they are due to be emptied today (Monday).

But refuse crews will check out every street before deciding if they are safe to negotiate amid the conditions.

“Scheduled trade waste bin collections are taking place as normal today (Mon) in #Harborough district,” tweeted Harborough council.

“However, crews will assess each street to decide if they are accessible in the icy conditions.

“Please leave commercial bins presented as collection times may vary.”
