VIDEO: Pub turfs its floor to celebrate the start of the Rugby World Cup

Here’s one pub that’s gone that extra mile to celebrate the start of the Rugby World Cup.

The Bull in Broughton Astley has turfed the floor of the main bar with 60sqm of grass to give its customers the feeling that they are on the pitch with the players. Owners James Bambury and Patrick Anderson said they expect it might get messy but would consider relaying it again during the tournament, if it proves successful. James said: “There will be hundreds of people on it, and there has been talk of a scrum down at half time. Everyone has been very enthusiastic.”
