Thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused when at least 15 cars parked in Lutterworth were vandalised on Tuesday.
Leicestershire Police said a sharp instrument was used to damage the paintwork of the vehicles.
The cars, which were attacked around lunchtime, were parked in Baker Street, St Mary’s Road, Stoney Hollow and Woodmarket.
Nine of the damaged cars belong to employees of Intercede, a software company based at Lutterworth Hall.
Ruth Tallis, one of the victims, said: “Whoever did this scratched the cars from end to end with a key or screwdriver.
“The total cost of the damage to cars owned by employees of the company will run to several thousand pounds.
“This happened in broad daylight and someone must have seen something suspicious.”
Witnesses with information should contact Leicestershire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A full report will appear in next week’s Lutterworth Mail.
