One of Harborough’s busiest roads will be closed for six nights - here are the details

Thousands of drivers will be affected as one of Market Harborough’s busiest roads is shut from Monday (January 11) for six nights.

Springfield Street in Market Harborough is to be closed to traffic to allow vital carriageway patching work to be carried out.

The town centre route will be shut between 8pm and 6am every day along with a small stretch of Northampton Road at the junction.

Motorists will have to follow signposted diversions – and parking on the road will be banned at the same times.

Work is also being carried out by Leicestershire County Council on St Mary’s Road on Saturday (January 9) and Sunday night (January 10) as well as next Saturday (January 16) - with the road closed from 8pm-6am.

Drivers will be told to divert along Rockingham Road, the A6 Harborough Bypass, B6047 Harborough Road, the High Street, The Square and vice versa.
