Trade stands are sold out

An expo believed to be the first business-to-business trade show ever held at Harborough Market is being organised in town later this month.

The event is already proving popular, with trade stands having sold out already.

The Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce is running the Harborough Business Expo 2015.

It is aiming to encourage and promote closer collaboration and trading links between businesses in the Harborough district.

It will run at the market, in Northampton Road, from 1pm until 5pm on Monday, April 20.

The chamber believes it will be the first business-to-business trade show to take place in the 22-year history of the venue.

It will be free to attend and is open to all businesses and residents in the area.

More than 30 companies have booked trade stands.

Chamber president Ian Joule said: “One of the reasons the Harborough region is such a great place to live is the economic prosperity that is enjoyed within the town.

“This event should be an excellent opportunity for local businesses to meet up, promote their services and products, and form closer links with one another.”

The event was held previously in 2013 at The Three Swans Hotel in town and was well attended.

The chamber hopes to repeat that success at the market.

Harborough Market’s manager Sairah Butt said: “We are very pleased to be hosting a business-to-business event at the market.

“The market is a very flexible space and we are keen to welcome people from the local business community here.”
