A Market Harborough events agency which started in a garage and now turns over £2 million has just celebrated its fifth birthday.
Having set up the firm from his home, managing director Dan Stevens has led Primary to become one of the country’s leading players in the events industry.
The company, which organises conferences, product launches, exhibitions and award ceremonies, now employs seven people and works with leading global brands, such as Siemens and Honda.
Harborough MP Sir Edward Garnier visited the firm’s offices in Angel Court , Harborough, recently to raise a toast to the firm’s success.
Sir Edward said: “Once again I’m proud to participate in marking the anniversary of another successful, forward-thinking Harborough business.
“From Angel Court this company does business in all corners of the world but employs local people. I congratulate them on their success.”
Mr Stevens, who worked for events companies in London before forming Primary, said: “Our success is founded on good-quality customer service, a boldness to be different, genuine innovation and ensuring everything we do is geared towards meeting our clients’ needs.
“We win business because we are unique – we don’t just organise events, we create innovative and engaging experiences.
“We deliver events to inspire people to act upon the messages they receive.”
The agency scooped an industry prize in September in the acclaimed C&IT Excellence Awards in recognition of a live stunt which saw images depicting the history of underground travel projected onto a mock-up train as a part of railway giant Siemens’ “Going Underground” exhibition last autumn.
