A food drive at a Market Harborough fitness and weightloss centre has resulted in a collection of about 36 stones (228kg) of food for charity.
The food donated by the all-female members at Curves, in Angel Court, off High Street, has now been collected by the town’s Jubilee Food Bank.
Manager Kim Langley Curves, which has had a branch in Market Harborough since 2005, has been organising the annual charitable food drive every March for many years.
Kim said: “It’s inspiring every year to see the amount of food that comes in.
“I would say more than one hundred members donated this year, and they’re always very generous.”
The food was all collected by the fitness centre in a single day.
