The cafe now arriving at Market Harborough railway station is a 363-day a year special, stopping only on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The station’s new cafe - called The Engine Room - opened on Monday, and will be available on weekdays from 5.30am until 5pm, on Saturdays from 8.30am until 4pm and on Sundays from 9am until 1pm.
It’s run by brother-and-sister team Harry Harrison and Clare Leeder, with Daniel Cadoo from the town’s Garage Bakehouse and will feature bread and cakes made locally by the Bakehouse as well as all the usual drinks, snacks and filled baguettes.
“Hopefully this is a long-term family business” Harry told the Mail on the cafe’s first morning. “The idea at the moment is to open pretty much every day of the year.”
