Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was threatened at knife-point in Market Harborough in a street robbery.

The worrying incident took place in Auriga Street, not far from Little Bowden Recreation Ground, between 4pm and 4.15pm on Saturday, March 21.

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman told the Mail that the victim, who was a 17-year-old boy, told police officers he was approached by two males, aged about 18 or 19 years old.

One of them then produced a “concealed weapon” which looked like a knife.

The victim was forced to hand over his blue iPhone.

Police are treating the incident as a robbery.

Witnesses to the incident or anyone else who has information about the crime is urged to call PC Daniel Lester on the police 101 number.
