Talented musicians are ready for finals

Young musicians will be competing in the final of the sixth annual Junior X Factor competition in Harborough tomorrow night (Friday).

The contest is organised by the Great Bowden Recital Trust and £750 worth of prizes are up for grabs.

The heats were held at Great Bowden Village Hall earlier this month, where there were some wonderful musical talents on display.

In school Years 10-13, Anna Goodman, Charlie Botting and duo Ella Soysa and Jake Davis have all qualified for the final.

For school Years 7-9, Ella Barney and Katie Marshall made the grade.

And for school Years 1-6, Jamie Pyle, Lily Ingall, duo Millie Milverton and Gemma Pyle, duo Ria Cousins and Ffion Richards, Tabitha Tooms and Zach Ball have all made the latter stages.

The final is being held at the larger venue of Market Harborough Congregational Church’s Jubilee Hall, in Bowden Lane, from 7pm tomorrow. Doors open at 6.30pm.

The recital trust’s Youth Flute Choir, Youth Vocal Choir and Youth Choir Juniors will all be performing during the evening and while the judges are deliberating.
