Spring concert with a varied programme

Tickets have gone on sale for Market Harborough Choral Society’s spring concert.

It is being staged at the Methodist Church in Northampton Road at 7,30pm on Saturday, March 29.

The show will feature two settings of the Gloria by John Rutter and Francis Poulenc.

Also in the programme is the anthem I Was Glad by Parry and four motets based on Gregorian chants by Maurice Durufle.

Society chairman Steve Pointer said: “We are delighted to welcome local soprano Clare Robertson and our accompanist Ivan Linford who plays for Bach Choir.

“It is a vibrant programme of really striking music.”
