Savers with deposits in Hinckley and Rugby Building Society’s Hospice Affinity Account have generated £16,350 for three hospices in Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
Mary Ann Evans Hospice, The Myton Hospices and Loros are each receiving £5,450, thanks to the donation by the society of a sum equivalent to one per cent of the average balances held in the account each year.
Among those who have supported the hospices are savers in Lutterworth who use the society’s branch in High Street, Lutterworth.
Diane Morris, fundraising manager at Leicester hospice charity Loros, said: “We are so grateful for the continued support of the society and its savers. This account makes a tremendous difference.”
