SLIDESHOW: Hundreds raise money for Sport Relief

It was a lovely day for a run on Sunday - especially if you were raising money for charity.

That’s why about 300 people turned out for the fundraising Sport Relief Mile in Market Harborough.

The event began at 11am in Welland Park, with participants running one, three or six miles.

Cllr Rosita Page, Harborough District Council’s portfolio holder for communities, said: “This is always a really fun event. People of all ages get involved to help raise money for a great cause.”

Half of all the money raised by Sport Relief is used in the UK. The other half is used to transform lives across the world’s poorest communities.
