School’s super response to food bank appeal

Kind-hearted children and staff from Lutterworth High School have this month been collecting donations for the Lutterworth and Villages Foodbank.

Last month the school was visited by Lynn Martin and Steph Heath from the town’s food bank charity, and children were told about the ways in which emergency food can help people in crisis in the Lutterworth community. The response to the school’s appeal for donations meant they were able to fill a van with more than 2,000 items.

The donations were delivered to the food bank’s centre on national Christmas Jumper Day last Friday.
