Motorists who use Clack Hill in Harborough late in the evenings and early mornings will have to wait a few more days until the road will be running as normal near the railway bridge.
From Tuesday, the Kettering Road has been closed about 20 metres either side of the bridge between 10pm at night and 6am the following morning.
The eight-hour closure period has been granted so brickwork repairs can be made to the bridge’s arch ring.
The diversion route has been via Gores Lane and Rockingham Road.
The work is due to be completed by 6am this Saturday.
