Fresh local produce, spectacular presentation and stylish décor are on the menu at The Belmont Hotel Leicester’s newly refurbished restaurant.

Windows on New Walk offers diners superbly cooked dishes within a tasteful and charismatic setting in the heart of the city.

Its newly appointed head chef, Jeremy Jones, brings a wealth of experience and his culinary skills shine through in every mouthful. With smoked duck and Stilton salad from £6, and juicy rib-eye steaks from £15, guests can enjoy top-class food without the hefty price tag.

The aromatic smoked duck was packed with flavour and complemented the powerful Stilton perfectly. Tender and succulent, the steak had all the flavour of the grill without losing its juicy texture, and worked perfectly with the hand-cut chips and fresh salad. A dark chocolate torte with Earl Grey Tea prunes and raspberry sorbet was the perfect and refreshing finale to a fantastic dining experience.

Windows on New Walk manages to achieve a perfect balance between style and comfort, with romantic lighting and elegant furnishings.

Chef Jeremy certainly knows how to entice customers into the light and attractive restaurant, with fresh water crayfish and prawn cocktail, a delicate whole baked lemon sole and heart-warming homemade treacle tart being just some of the stand-out items on the menu.

Jeremy brings with him nearly 20 years of experience from around the world. He takes his inspiration from his stints at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra Australia where he was Senior Chef De Partie for its fine dining experience and at Parliament House where he cooked for the then Australian Prime Minister John Howard and his VIP guests.  Closer to home Jeremy was senior sous chef at the De Vere Latimer House where he was responsible for managing all of its kitchens and teams of chefs, as well as consultant executive head chef for the restaurants of many of the UK’s most prestigious sporting venues including Wembley, Twickenham, Millennium Stadium, Wimbledon and Pride Park.
