Improvement work is to be carried out at a car park in Broughton Astley.
Harborough District Council will begin refurbishing its Orchard Road car park from next Monday, April 27.
The work, set to take six weeks, will include the demolition of a disused toilet block, resurfacing and re-lining, as well as new lighting and low-level boundary fencing being installed.
A new layout will also create eight extra parking bays.
The work will be carried out in phases to leave some parking spaces available.
For health and safety reasons, there will be a full closure of the car park during the last week of work, from Monday, June 1, for resurfacing.
A council spokesman said: “Both traffic and pedestrians may be affected by the work, however, we will endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum.”
