A charity quiz night is being held at The Old Crown pub in High Street, Fleckney, this Wednesday in memory of a villager who died of a heart attack in December.
It is the latest fundraising event organised by Fleckney man Jeff Pearce who has now raised over £15,000 for good causes with a 24-hour pub games marathon in 2013 and a 24-hour pub quiz last year.
This Wednesday’s quiz from 7.30pm is raising money in memory of mum-of-two Clare Duffus (42), who died just before Christmas.
She had a rare heart condition and was treated at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.
All money raised from the quiz night will be going to the hospital’s heart department.
