Police helicopter was in the Harborough skies for about half an hour - this is why

Scores of people looked up to the skies as the regional police helicopter flew over Market Harborough today (Tuesday September 15).

Hundreds of feet up, the helicopter buzzed over the Lubenham Hill and Coventry Road areas of Market Harborough for about 30 minutes after midday.

But for once the high-flying police crew were not hunting criminals or trying to track down missing people.

The officers were out and about over Market Harborough on an essential training operation, said the National Police Air Service.
