The application’s design and access statement reads: “The site is within 20 minutes walk of Desborough’s centre with the potential for good pedestrian links between the town, the new homes and the new community facility.

“There is an opportunity to provide additional community facilities for the town on this site.

“Due to where the site is positioned, it would allow potential residents to have access to the main town of Desborough easily by public transport, by cycling or on foot.

“A new local equipped area for play could also be on the development, to encourage young families to the area.

“The footpath that runs through the area could also be adjusted to suit any new proposals on the site.”

Those wishing to have their say on the plans have until August 3 and can do so here.

A decision is expected by October 3 this year.
