An estate agency has put in a planning application to put up new signs at a vacant town centre shop unit.
Strutt & Parker wants to make the changes at the former site of the Natur [sic] House health shop at 34-38 The Square.
Natur House closed on July 31 after first opening in town in January 2012.
Strutt & Parker has an existing office at 41 High Street in Harborough.
Meanwhile, Simpson & Partners has submitted a plan for 2 Adam and Eve Street in Harborough.
It has asked Harborough Council for permission to change the site’s use from a shop to professional services.
It was most recently the Retrospect clothes shop.
On the application form, the estate agency says three members of full-time staff would be employed at the office.
Proposed hours of opening would be 8.45am to 7pm Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and 11am to 3pm on Sundays.
The firm has eight branches in Northants and one in Cambridgeshire.
Some Twitter users have expressed disappointment that estate agents are proliferating in town, rather than retail units.
