Students at Lutterworth College were celebrating their GCSE results today (Thursday)
Many students gained the top grades with 99% of students getting A*-G GCSE grades. Seventy five per cent of students gained 5 A*-C grades and 61% of students gained five A*-C including English and Maths grades
Head of Lutterworth College Ben Solly said: “We are pleased that so many students achieved well in their GCSE examinations this year.
“Our results have been consistently above the national average and we have continued this trend with the 2015 results.
“I would like to congratulate our students on their achievements and thank our staff for working incredibly hard with all of our young people.
“Combined with our record breaking A Level results last week and the introduction of Year 7 students on September 1st, these are exciting times for Lutterworth College.”
There were some particularly strong results at the college including: English language (70% A*-C); mathematics (74% A*-C); 84% of students achieved an A%-C with 29% achieving an A*-A grade in English literature.
Over 50% of students gained at least one A*-A grade in triple science, 99% A*-C in physics and chemistry, 96% A*-C in biology, and the best results ever in Spanish (100% A*-C, 60% A*-A)
Seventeen students achieved all A* or A grades. They were: Gaining 11 A* - Natasha Elks, Alex Jordan; Gaining 11 A*-A - Karina Shah; Gaining 10+ A*-A grades - Jason Armstrong, Chloe Balhatchet, Katie Brooman, Orla Canavan, Joe Crofts, Georgia Elliott, Nathan Hall, Chloe Havaz, William Mahendran, Sam Wells, Megan Wright; Gaining 9+ A*-A grades -Laura Busch, Morgan Devlin, George Escott, Owen Garner, Alfie Hollingworth, Julian Lauder, Abbi Lowden, Harry Peake, Matthew Phillips, Becky Pope, Katie Prime, Christina Putnam, Charlotte Riley
