The sun shone and the clouds flocked to Desborough carnival on Saturday.

A parade of floats and walking entries were watched by a large crowd as it wound its way around the streets of Desborough, led by the carnival Queen Florrie Spears, her attendants Sophie Brewin and Evie Stacey-Smith and page boy Aaron Goosey.

The Recreation Ground was full of stalls and entertainment and it rapidly filled with a record crowd.

They were entertained by a band on stage, Cool Beans, and entertainment in the arena from marching bands and street dancers and the highlight of the afternoon, the Quack Pack, performing ducks shepherded by border collies.

Chairman Michael Crick said: “Everyone turned out in their thousands to support us and enjoy the sunshine and the atmosphere.

“I would like to thank everyone who made an effort to enter the highly successful parade.
