Photographer is back after eight years away

Photographer Stu Williamson has opened a new studio in Kibworth after eight years away from the area.

In 1997 he set up a studio at Harborough Railway Station and during the nine years based there he ran a successful company specialising in portrait photography.

Celebrities such as Emile Heskey, Martin Johnson, Richard Hammond and Suzi Perry were among the people photographed there.

In 2006 he relocated the business to Dubai and he says it become one of the largest photographic studios in the United Arab Emirates with more than 90 staff.

He gained commissions from Giorgio Armani, at the Burj Khalifa, and the Jumeriah Group’s Burj Al Arab, and clients included several of the royal families in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

In April, he decided to relocate back to his UK roots to concentrate on personal projects and undertake portrait and commercial work for a few select clients.

The new studio is at Unit 1, Kingsley Business Park in New Road, Kibworth.

Stu Williamson Photography still operates in Dubai.
