Shoppers grab a real bargain at freecycling event in Harborough
The Freecycling bonanza at St Dionysius Church in Market Harborough is proving a freewheeling runaway success.
Lin Ball, who helps to run the church’s Eco Church initiative, said: “About 50 people turned up for our event last Saturday and it went really well.
“We get everything from clothes to tools to toys, saucepans and cups handed in – and it’s all free.
“You can come along and if it catches your eye then take it home with you.”
She said every little helps in the battle to save our planet.
“It’s so much better to see people delighted to take away a coat or crash helmet that would have been thrown away,” said Lin, of Harborough.
“It makes you feel so good to do people such a good turn.
“And we donate what ever we have left to charity shops here in the town centre.
“Everyone’s a winner.”
Freecycling mornings are held every two months at St Dionysius so keep an eye out for the next walk in and take home event.
