New centre to help charities could be built in Harborough
A new Wellbeing Centre is set to be built in Market Harborough.
Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity is investigating building the complex on land at its allotments site at Northampton Road.

One of the charity’s Trustees, Gordon Kellie, would like to hear from local organisations which would like to back the scheme.
“It is very early days.
“But we are working with LOROS to assess the feasibility of establishing a Wellbeing Centre here in Harborough.
“It would be built on Northampton Road on land not being used by our allotment holders and would not impact on them,” said Gordon.

“We are keen to hear from other charities operating in the Harborough community which could be part of this exciting initiative.
“As well as serving the immediate needs of Market Harborough, Great Bowden and Little Bowden in the period following the Covid-19 epidemic, we feel it is important to focus on a longer-term project which could really make a difference to our town.”
