A Harborough charity has just chalked up collecting and delivering 200 prescriptions during the coronavirus lockdown.

Harborough Twenty 12 Lions Club has carried out the Good Samaritan operation throughout the district since the virus crisis began.

The organisation was handed cash from Leicestershire County Council to help cover mileage and vital PPE equipment.

Michael Thomas, president of the club, said: “We deliver to places as far apart as South Kilworth and Ashley.

“We have received many messages of thanks as well as donations to Lions charities.

“We are very glad to be able to help people across Harborough where ever we can.”
