The long-established event is being staged by Harborough Action for Justice and Peace Group (affiliated to Churches Together in Harborough).

The vigil will go ahead on The Square from 5pm-5.30pm.

Everyone is invited to participate to think about and pray silently for world peace.

The group meets with lighted candles for half an hour.

You are all invited to take along your own candles in jars.

Cards are given out with a picture of a candle and the words of Micah 6:8 from the Bible ("What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God") along with a simple prayer.
