With the support of local businesses, we will be holding a gala awards evening in April where the district’s unsung heroes will be honoured.

The Mail is again grateful to Market Harborough Building Society for being the main awards sponsors.

There are 11 categories in which to nominate people:

l Young Achiever (Sponsored by Edward Hands and Lewis Solicitors)

l Raising the Profile of the Town (The Angel Hotel)

l Inspire a Generation (The Three Swans Hotel)

l Fundraiser of the Year

l Service with a Smile (Adams and Jones Estate Agents)

l Excellence in Education (Leicester Grammar School)

l Friendly Neighbour (Seven Locks Housing)

l Care in the Community (Costa Coffee)

l Outstanding Example of Bravery (Market Harborough Building Society)

l Unsung Hero/Heroine (CDS Global)

l Community Investment Award (Spire Homes).

All the award certificates are sponsored by Livingstone Moore Interiors Kitchen and Bathrooms.

A panel of judges will select the winners, who will all receive their awards at a presentation evening at The Three Swans Hotel in Market
Harborough on Thursday, April 21. The awards night includes a three-course dinner and entertainment from singer Nigel Adair.

Mail editor Chris Lillington said: “Almost every week in the Mail we feature an individual or group who does something amazing to help the community and those are the people we are looking to reward at Pride in Harborough. It needn’t be something huge but if it makes a difference to someone’s life in some small way then we want to hear about it.

“It’s those unsung heroes that make communities like Harborough district such a great place to live and they deserve some recognition from the people that live there.

“So if you do know someone who fits one of our award category criteria then please do nominate them.”

To nominate someone for an award write in no more than 300 words about your special person(s) along with your name and contact details of the person(s) you are nominating and the category and email it to [email protected]
