Hundreds of pounds was raised for Cancer Research UK during a big busk in Harborough’s St Mary’s Place last Saturday.
The Market Harborough Ukulele Group were mustered to perform a set while The Signals brought the sounds of 1970s New York to Harborough.
A number of individual musicians also performed.
The event raised a total of £500.
The busk is held annually and raises money for charity.
In an email thanking supporters, the organisers said: “When Janet and I counted the money donated there was £500 which is a tremendous result, about twice as much as in previous years.
“Many thanks to all that supported us by making a donation or playing wonderful music.”
