Live music and entertainment will be coming to Cotesbach near Lutterworth later this month.
The organisers of the event are expecting more than 1,000 people at the Music in the Yard festival on Saturday July 11.
Olivia Newton, who runs the event, said: “It’s been running now in some form for over 15 years and has evolved from an anual summer garden party with samba drumming and making instruments out of cereal boxes, to a buzzing, fully fledged one day music festival.
“After a great turnout last year of over 700, this time we’re expecting to see more than 1,000 people through the gates.
“The lineup this year feature some well known acts from London and Brighton such as Resonators and Cate Ferris, as well as some brilliant local acts including Leicester’s Austrian Stones and Northampton’s favourite reggae band, The Mystic Crew.”
There will be live music from noon-midnight, arts & workshops, food and bar, circus & fire performance and on-site camping.
The Resonators and a nine-piece Brighton and London based band, Resonators, have firmly established themselves on the dub reggae scene, finding a unique and distinct sound. Resonators’ music embraces diverse influences, making their music relevant in today’s Bass culture as well as reminding us of reggae’s uplifting influence on the dance floor.
Inspired by the meditative quality and universal appeal of Jamaican roots music the band radiate a playful and unified stage presence.
The festival is set in The Stable Yard in Cotesbach.
Music for the festival will see performances from Resonators, Bigtopp and The Buffalo Skinners.
Visitors to the festival can also go along to Mojo Hand, Manoes Puestas Duet, Normaton Street and many more entertainers.
Tickets for the show are £12 online or people can pay £15 to come in on the door. Children under the age of 12 can get in for free. There is also free on-site camping which is included in the price of the ticket.
