A mum from the Lutterworth area has launched a market event for existing and expecting mums to make money selling and buying their outgrown baby clothes and equipment to others.
The Mum2mum Market event started in 2011 and now there is a national network of the markets.
Nicola Cross is launching the Leicestershire ‘branch’ next month and has already planned two sales in the spring/summer.
She said: “Mum2mum Market nearly new sales provide an opportunity for parents to make money selling on their outgrown baby clothes and equipment to other families.
“All goods for sale must be in excellent condition and sellers keep 100 per cent of their proceeds on the day. Novice sellers are coached prior to the event with sellers’ tips and pricing guides to maximise their sales on the day.
“Buyers can make serious savings at their local Mum2mum Market.
“I saw Mum2mum Market on Dragon’s Den and thought it was a brilliant idea! Mum2mum Market gives families in the local community the opportunity to sell their unwanted baby items in a safe and well organised environment.”
Nicola is launching Mum2mum Market in Leicestershire on May 8 at Countesthorpe Village Hall from 9.30-11.30am. The event is being sponsored by Jo Jingles South West Leicester. Ian Pickering Photography will also be attendance.
Entry to the sale is £2 on the door (free for the last 30 minutes).
