MO HUNTERS - who do you recognise?
There’s been fuzz, sweat and beards throughout the month of November but your efforts have been well worth it.
Market Harborough’s mo-mentous Movember campaign looks set to smash the £10,000 barrier with many events still to come to mark the end of the fundraising month (see below).
On the front page of the Harborough Mail today we salute just some of the 72 Movember Marvels who have made the town’s appeal such a success.
Take a look and see how many you recognise. And see if you can spot the odd one out...
Market Harborough is just the second place in the world and the first ever in the UK to team up as an entire town to raise money for the cause, Prostate Cancer UK.
The town has changed its name to Mo’ket Harborough and numerous business, groups and individuals have all done their bit.
But there is still one final hurrah to make sure the month ends with a bang.
The whole idea is the brainchild of a small but hard-working committee which started planning the idea back in March.
Sarah Blackler, from the Mo’Ket Harborough Committee, said: “It’s been a mo-vellous effort so far and now it’s the final push.”
Nearly £7,000 has been raised already but much more is still coming in.
