Motorcyclist injured after collision with car near Kibworth

The crash happened on Kibworth Road, Wistow, at about 10.45am.

A fire engine from Wigston and Kibworth fire station and an ambulance raced to the scene.

Medics were assessing the injuries of the motorcyclist, a Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said.

The casualty’s injuries were not believed to be serious, she said.

But they were set to be taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary to be treated and fully checked out.

Firefighters were still at the scene shortly before midday, clearing up leaking fuel from the damaged motorbike.
