Max to represent the county in chef contest

Two Lutterworth High School pupils took part in the national FutureChef cooking competition which aims to identify the culinary stars of the future.

Max Faulkner made a pheasant, partridge and pigeon main course that wowed the judges and he won the Leicestershire and Rutland final on January 13 at Leicester College.

He now goes forward to the next round in February representing Leicestershire and will take on other champions from other Midlands counties.

Maeve Carroll also presented two fabulous dishes and both were highly commended by the judges.
